What is CoDream Innovation Lab?
We bring creators and innovators together to tackle meaningful challenges and bring ideas to life. Through immersive cohorts, hands-on mentorship, and access to resources, we help individuals develop impactful projects in sustainability, technology, and the arts. By fostering collaboration and sharing our journey through storytelling, we inspire action and empower our global community.
What is CoDream Sound Lab?
CoDream Sound Lab is a creative incubator for artists ready to grow, collaborate, and make meaningful music. We bring together songwriters, producers, instrumentalists, and visionaries to co-create work that reaches beyond what they imagined their artistry could become. Through intentional projects, weekly challenges and mentorships, artists deepen their connection to their craft and clarify how they want to move through the world with their art.
Where is CoDream located?
We are located on the north shore of the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Situated on a luxury private property, CoDream offers an island paradise escape to create & innovate sustainably.
How does CoDream work?
We host 6 to 8 week immersive creative residencies where participants live onsite, work on specific projects, and engage in mentorship, mindfulness, and creative collaboration.
Who is the ideal applicant for the innovation lab?
We need help in a variety of areas. From video editing, to building solar structures, to coding, etc. We're looking to create two teams: innovators & media/operations.
Right now, the ideal applicant is someone with a lot of energy, flexible, eager to learn and with some applicable skills. We welcome diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
Who is the ideal applicant for the sound lab?
We’re looking for artists who thrive in creative community—people who bring both skill and spirit. Whether you’re a producer, songwriter, instrumentalist, or creator alike, you care about the why behind the music and show up with openness, curiosity, and respect for the collaborative process.
The ideal applicant contributes meaningfully—not just through a diverse set of skills, but through a willingness to listen, grow, and co-create something greater than themselves. We’re also open to applicants who feel called to host a writing session, share a skill, or lead a creative challenge as part of the experience.
What ideas are you working on in the innovation lab?
Right now we are focusing on the ideas that can be found on our projects page. If you have your own idea, feel free to still apply, but we will likely wait a bit to start incorporating other people's ideas/projects.
What is the daily schedule like during a CoDream cohort?
Right now the schedule is pretty flexible. With time, and with the launch of a more full fledged cohort you could imagine a day looking something like:
7:00am - Wake up, work out/sauna/meditate, eat
9:00am - Start working on your project
12:00pm - Shared lunch
1:00pm - Start working again
3:00pm - Stop working and start playing. Sometimes an afternoon surf sesh, other times some yard games like soccer or capture the flag
6:00pm - Shared dinner, maybe a mentor joins and we talk about something specific
Weekends free.
Are travel costs to Kauai covered, or is that the responsibility of the participant?
Travel costs are not covered by CoDream.
Can international students apply for the program?
Right now we are definitely favoring those based in the US. But feel free to apply.
What happens to the projects after the cohort ends?
We haven't really got that far yet, but ideally they keep going, and keep receiving support from CoDream.
Is there an opportunity to stay involved with CoDream after the program?
Great question. We should do that for sure. Not quite sure what that would look like. Ideas?
Are there opportunities to earn academic credit for participating?
Yes. No specifics quite yet, but we can make it happen.
Will I have time for personal exploration on Kauai during the program?
Yes! Weekends are totally free.
What is the Wi-Fi and connectivity situation at the site?
Common bro, its 2025 at an incubator...yes we have wifi.

How does a creative residency work?
While CoDream creative residency is not paid, as it is skill-based exchange that offers housing, food, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Let’s chat and see where you fit in!
How long can I stay?
Opportunities range from short-term projects to longer-term roles. We're looking for an average deal of 6 to 8 weeks. Let’s find what fits your schedule!

What should I pack for a CoDream creative residency?
Kauai is all about laid-back island life, outdoor adventures, and tropical weather, so pack smart and light! Kauai has an average temperature of 76° F (24° C for our world travelers) year round varying by 10° to 15° depending on the season
Lightweight, breathable clothes (cotton, linen, or moisture-wicking fabrics)
Swimwear (at least 2-3 suits for beach & waterfalls)
Hiking gear (quick-dry shorts, athletic leggings tank tops, light rain jacket)
Sturdy hiking sandals or trail shoes (for mud, rocks & rivers)
Comfy lightweight loungewear (for chill evenings)
Hat & sunglasses (for sun protection)
Flip-flops (“slippahs”) (a must-have for everyday use)
Daypack (for hikes & beach trips)
Bug spray (mosquitoes are real)
Reef-safe sunscreen (a must for the ocean!)
Reusable water bottle (stay hydrated)
Any personal medications (pharmacies exist but don’t rely on them)
Tech (personal camera, GoPro, laptop, portable chargers)
Travel towel (quick-dry & compact)
What not to bring?
Heavy luggage (pack light—laundry is easy)
Fancy clothes & heels (Kauai is super casual)
Plastic anything (Hawaii is eco-conscious—bring reusables)
