(aka ElderTech)

Even for those of us who grew up deep in technology, it can be hard to tell what is real. In the age of AI, scamming our elders could become more prevalent than ever, or we could do something to help.

Meet my Dad, Alan

My dad has always loved technology and helping old people. I think it instilled something in me (Aza) too.

I was talking to my dad, and he said:

"If I could do something to meaningfully help elders before I died, I would die a happy person."

So yeah, lets friggen do it.

What we know:

  • My dad and I have been working in technology for many many years.

  • Scamming is just going to get easier with AI

  • The problem spans many devices and technologies

  • There is a big opportunity around education

  • The shame that people feel after being scammed leads to not sharing and makes it easier for scams to live on

Its a bit of a puzzle.

We don't know:

  • What technical form factor a solution should take

  • Everything else

Luckily, we like puzzles.

We've been doing interviews.

It has been really sweet, sometimes sad, and definitely informative.

What help do we need?

We need us some coders! And some video folks.

*This project may be more open to remote folks.
